You have arrived at the shores of Loch
Smythe.Loch Smythe is an Incipient Canton in the northern area of the Barony of Forgotten Sea in the Kingdom of Calontir. We live in Platte and Clay counties in Missouri.
We are members of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA). We re-enact and re-create the world in the medieval and early renaissance eras. Any culture from any time period generally known to the western world prior to 1605 AD (at the time of the death of Queen Elizabeth I of England).
We strive through historical records to re-create authentic clothing, furniture, armaments and any other aspect of history that interests us. We take the best out of history and leave things like the plague, famine and unsanitary living conditions back in history where it belongs.
We welcome anyone to come to any of our meetings. Membership is not a requirement.
The knowledge we have gained from our research and craftmanship we offer to share with schools, libraries, civic organizations, churches or anyone else who is interested in history. We would love to put on a demonstration for your group. As many of our members work regular jobs we would need to coordinate this around our work schedules.
Meetings are on Tuesdays and start at 7:00 PM and are as follows:

Our meeting place is the Smithville Fire Station. At 341 Park Drive, Smithville, MO
The location is the corner of Park Drive and Highway 169, across from Kay Furniture and next door to the Car Wash.
